This past weekend was Riverfest in downtown Wilmington. Its like a mini Azalea Festival, there are vendors, performers and a car show. It was such a beautiful weekend, the weather was perfect. I had a greasy and yummy gyro but ate it too fast to take a picture lol.

Another package from Dad
Dad sent me another package today, it had chocolate covered coffee beans, hello kitty candy and a few other goodies. The jelly belly flavors are banana split: banana, pineapple, chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry. :)

How do you make Hello Kitty Waffles?
How do you make Hello Kitty waffles? Well first you have to assemble your utensils....
Hello Kitty waffle maker? Check.
Hello Kitty Mixing bowl? Check.
Hello Kitty measuring cup? Check.
Next step: Mix your ingredients.
Bisquick, milk, and eggs.
For Kitty-tastic waffles I add:
Vanilla extract
Almond extract
Cinnamon
and a dash of Nutmeg
Heat up your Hello Kitty waffle iron, then fill the wells.
Place your Hello Kitty waffles on a pretty platter.
Set a pretty table, a side of scrambled eggs always goes with waffles.
Add maple syrup and enjoy! :)
Day out in Raleigh
I went to Raleigh the other day to Hang out with Tom, Brandy and their friend Jay. We went to both the history museum and the natural science museum. The science museum had an exhibit on chocolate, but it didn't actually involve getting to eat any... hmm... might have to make a formal complaint about that.
After the museums we stopped at Coffee and Crepes so I could get a fruit melba crepe, it had peaches, rasberries, yogurt, and honey. It was pretty good, I still think I prefer rolled and filled crepes though.
I had a great time, it was nice to get out of Wilmington for a little while, Brandy and I also got to do a little shopping. I need to make it up there more often.

Happy 30th Birthday to Me!
My birthday was on a Thurs. this year which was really fortunate for me. Coastal Cupcakes had Cheesecake Cupcakes so Chris decided to surprise me some!
Mom and Michael came down to have dinner with Chris and me on my birthday, we ate at Boca Bay. I'd never been there before but the food was great, especially the HUGE creme brule!
I also got a TON of Hello Kitty goodies mailed to me from my Dad, including a lunch bag, stationary, and even a pinata! (pictures coming soon, I can't find my camera)
Jackie threw me a Sexy Tea Party the following Saturday at her place.
It was so much fun! She made "tea" from firefly peach tea flavored vodka and had mini cupcakes and snacks.
Everyone had a great time, and I loved my Hello Kitty birthday candle. :)
After the party we all went down to Odessa for some dancing.
I had a great time! I'm so glad everyone came out to celebrate with me. :)

Worth and Lauren's Wedding
Chris's friends Worth and Lauren got married a few weeks ago and Chris was in the wedding party. The rehearsal dinner was at The City Club, the food was great and it was such a beautiful place.
The wedding was at Fort Fisher, it was a beautiful day and such a beautiful ceremony.

The wedding was 9:30 in the morning to avoid the heat, so the reception was a lovely brunch with lots of mimosas. A really wonderful day, I'm so glad I was able to attend.

4th of July
For the 4th of July Chris and I went to our friend's house to watch the fireworks from his rooftop deck, the view was great.
There were a bunch of us up on the deck to and we all had a great time. I've always loved seeing fireworks and this was the best view I've had of the ones over the river downtown. After they were over we stayed and talked with friends for a while, then went to the Trolly Stop and had the best hot dogs ever! They were so good. :)

Breakfast at 2:45 in afternoon
Chris and I are off work for the holiday so we decided to be lazy and not leave the house until now to get breakfast at IHOP. Whenever I eat here I always have to get a stuffed crepe, they're sooo good!
Tomorrow we're planning to watch the fireworks downtown with a friend who has a rooftop view,I can't wait. I love fireworks on the fourth!

Ladies Night at The Little Dipper
Yesterday Erin and I took a much needed trip to The Little Dipper for fondue. Wednesdays are ladies night so we split cheese and chocolate fondues. So delicious! We also splurged a little and got sides of grilled chicken and shrimp and a bottle of wine.
Even though I have the sweetest boyfriend, I really love having girl time with my girlfriends. There's just nothing like girly gossip, wine and chocolate. Its the best combination! We're going to try to go to back at least once a month so any other girls who are interested in joining us let me know. :)
